Question: Labelling CDs and DVDs

Can you recommend a pen to easily and safely write on CDs or DVDs?

How do I proceed correctly?

Answer: Labelling CDs and DVDs

Generally, we can recommend our entire Lumocolor range for labelling CDs and DVDs.

However, our brandnew specialist, the STAEDTLER Lumocolor permanent CD/DVD pen, is extraordinarily suitable for writing on the label side of a CD or DVD.

The pen's extra-soft tip does not damage sensitive CD and DVD surfaces and its special ink does not penetrate data storage layer.

Thanks to the unique DRY SAFE ink this pen can be left uncapped for days without drying up!

The ink dries in seconds and is therefore ideal for left-handed users.

Furthermore the ink of our Lumocolor CD/DVD pen is smudge-proof, waterproof and neutral-smelling.

It is very important you do not label the surface with a ballpoint pen or another pen having a hard point.

CD discs have a soft, very thin protective coating on the label surface that is vulnerable to chemical or physical attack.

To label the CD or DVD properly please write on the label side (the coated side) of the disc.
