World Kids Colouring Day 2009

World Kids Colouring Day

Children colour for children in need:

Proceeds from the pictures go to support education projects in conflict affected areas

Children are natural-born artists and colouring is of great importance for their development.

As such, STAEDTLER was calling out for support of the first World Kids Colouring Day to be held on 6 May 2008.

In this special colouring campaign, children the world over were invited to colour and sell their most beautiful works to family and friends. The proceeds will be donated to a good cause, of course!

STAEDTLER uses these donations to support underprivileged children in conflict affected areas, offering them an opportunity to receive a better education and a chance to escape poverty.

Colouring and creativity

STAEDTLER is underlining its commitment to World Kids Colouring Day, its international fund-raising initiative for underprivileged children, with three special promotional packs.

The three packs feature key colouring products from the popular Noris Club and triplus ranges with either a free WKCD sketch pad or back pack. For each of the packs sold during the promotional period from 1 March to 31 May 2009, STAEDTLER will make a donation to Save the Children in support of their ‘Rewrite the Future’ project in Columbia.

World Kids Colouring Day takes place on May 6 each year and aims to celebrate the creativity of children worldwide while giving practical assistance to those children denied even basic educational opportunities. In the UK, all primary schools receive special educational packs for class-based colouring activities. The pack also contains sponsorship forms and all the money raised is donated directly to Save the Children.
