Roll out the white and jade green FIMO separately (to a thickness of about 3 mm) and cut the long side of each colour straight. Join the two straight sides together and roll over them one more time.

Draw a cactus template and cut it out. Place it on the FIMO so that the edges of the FIMO colours line up precisely with the plant pot. Cut out the cactus design using a knife to go round the paper template. (Or perhaps you have a cutter you can use instead).

Take the pink FIMO and roll it into a small sausage shape. Roll this into a spiral - this will be our cactus flower. Do the same with the emerald green FIMO to make the outlines for your cactus. Simply roll out into a sausage as before, this time very thin, and shape it around the cactus as shown in the picture. When you're happy with your decoration, place the flower on your cactus. Now your cactus needs to spend 30 minutes in the oven at 110°C / 230°F. Afterwards, leave it to harden for half an hour.

Take a glue gun or another good adhesive and put a dot of glue onto the back of your cactus wherever you want to place a magnet. Press the magnets into the glue and leave to dry.

Your fab DIY cactus magnets are done! It creates a great effect if you can vary the design so that each magnet has a different look.
